Just one month after launch the Dubai Expo 2020 social media campaign is in full swing with over 3,500 ‘Likes’ for the Facebook page and over 1000 people now following the bid on Twitter.
Featuring articles on World Expos past and present, pieces highlighting the local, regional and international work of the Dubai bid committee, a newsfeed and photographs, the Dubai Expo 2020 Facebook page provides a valuable resource for aggregating support for Dubai’s bid online. The page allows Facebook users to back the campaign by ‘Liking’ the page, posting their messages and comments and sharing the page with their friends. A reflection of the theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’, the Facebook page helps encourage followers of the bid to keep up to date with its progress and engage with the work of the committee and with each other.
