RTA Caters To Transit Needs Of Hatta Residents
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) hailed the huge efforts and strategic initiatives carried out by the Community Development Authority in Dubai towards building a vibrant community capable of actively contributing to the prominent standing and high profile of the United Arab Emirates worldwide.
A statement to this effect was made during a gathering where the Community Development Authority hosted RTA’s Customer Council held of late at the Dubai Municipality’s Public Library in Hatta. The gathering was attended by Mohammed Obaid Al Mulla, Member of the Board, and Chairperson of RTA’s Customer Council; Ahmed Mahboob, Director of Customer Service; Deputy Chairperson of the Customer Council; in addition to a number of RTA’s directors. Attendees from the Community Development Authority included Muhannad Saeed, Director of Community Programs; and Mani Al Kindi, Senior Executive of Community Councils; as well as Omar Saeed Al Mutaiwee, Manager of Hatta Municipality; Khalifa Eid, Manager of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority - Hatta Branch; Dr. Saif Al Wali Manager of Hatta Hospital; Ali Abdullah, Vice President of Hatta Sports Club; Eisa Al Badwawi, President of Hatta Volunteers; and Captain Hilal Hamdan, from Hatta Police, besides other attendance from Hatta region, including 15 women.
Al Mullah conveyed the greetings of HE Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA, to the attendance representing Hatta people together with the officials of the Community Development Authority. "The RTA top management, he said, always prioritizes the services rendered to the public including all community sections and is always keen on adopting the best practices to upgrade and enhance these services to meet customers’ expectations and even exceed them by effectively communicating with customers and reaching out to them at their localities."
Al Mullah listened to a string of suggestions, views and observations concerning the public transport means and infrastructure required in Hatta region. "All RTA agencies and sectors will give due consideration to suggestions, views and observations raised by the public, and endeavour to implement the feasible ones and reward the best suggestions and ideas," he continued.
"The RTA always seeks to make the public transport means the ideal mobility choice in the Emirate of Dubai, and makes unremitting efforts to disseminate the culture of using public transport among the residents of Dubai emirate by providing advanced transit means such as the Dubai Metro, public buses, marine transport modes along with infrastructure required for operating such modes. It also pays attention to launching other associated services and strategic initiatives, such as Nol card, Salik Tolling System, Wojhati (Journey Planner) e-services, and other programs that play a crucial role in integrating these systems.
"Through its Customer Council, the RTA is keen on reaching out to all spectrums of the community in the Emirate of Dubai and suburban areas, and satisfying their needs of mass transit means as well as other RTA services," he continued. Al Mulla.
He urged the audience to avail themselves of the diverse e-services on offer by the RTA, in view of the multitude of benefits and advantages associated with these services. "Such services can be obtained promptly and easily from home or office using computers and smart phones; which saves users’ time and cuts vehicles expenses, not to mention the hassles of travelling to the service centers and searching for parking spaces among other troubles," stated Al Mulla.
On his part, Muhannad Saeed, Director of Community Programs, Community Development Authority, said "The Community Development Authority is keen on establishing effective communication and cooperation with all strategic partners in order to provide quality services to citizens & residents of Dubai emirate, respond to their needs and ensure the welfare of the community. The Community Development Authority also seeks to harness all potentials and experiences in helping its partners to better serve the community at all levels, as evidenced by our cooperation with our brothers at the RTA."
The gathering included a number of presentations made by RTA’s directors and managers on Dubai Metro, public buses, Nol card, and "Madinati" program, besides the online services and channels of delivering them.
The officials of Government Departments at Hatta, as well as the attending Hatta residents, thanked the RTA for the services provided to them. A number of observations, suggestions and complaints were then raised to Mohammed Obaid Al Mulla, who promised to study them and provide effective solutions as soon as possible.
Finally, Al Mullah concluded the gathering by offering thanks and appreciation to the Community Development Authority for cooperation with the RTA’s Customer Council to meet Hatta residents to identify their needs and listen to their observations, suggestions and views. He hailed the great efforts made by the Community Development Authority to uplift the social life of Dubai residents by delivering vital services in this score.
