RTA Announces Services Timing During Ramadan

The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the working hours for delivering diverse services during the holy month of Ramadan covering customer service centers, car parking facilities, public buses, Dubai Metro, marine transit means, driving institutes, and vehicles testing & registration centers.

“Modifying the service delivery timing aims to uplift the quality of various services offered by RTA agencies to the public in keeping with the daily routines during the holy month; which vary from the working days observed during the rest of the year,” said Dr. Aysha Al Busmait, Director of RTA Marketing & Corporate Communication.

"The Customers Service Centers will deliver services at different times from Sunday to Thursday. Customer service centers at Umm Al Ramoul, Al Barsha, Deira and Karama will work from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm, Al Tawar and Al Manara Centers will work from 09:00 am to 06:00 pm, and Al Awir Center will have two working sessions: from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm and from 08:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

“With the Exception of the parking lots of the Fish Market, Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City, the paid parking zones in Dubai Emirate will be timed to start levying fees on Saturday to Thursday from 08:00 am to 01:00 pm and from 07:00 pm to 12:00 (midnight). Fish Market paid parking timing will be from 08:00 am to 01:00 pm and from 07:00 pm to 12:00 pm throughout all week days. Collection of the parking fees in the Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City will be activated from Saturday to Thursday from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm.

“The service time of public buses (Dubai Bus) will be running throughout the week, with public transport stations, including the main stations such as Gold Souk, Al Ghubaiba 1 & 2, and subsidiary stations, such as Al Qusais, Satwa and Al Qouz will be from 06:00 am to 12:00 am (midnight). Jebel Ali Station will open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm and the timing of stations offering feeder bus service to the metro stations such as Al Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta and Burj Khalifa will be from 07.00 am up to 01.00 am, while Abu Hail and Etisalat Stations will be operational from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

“Inter-city bus stations, including main stations such as Al Ghubaiba, will be working throughout the week, whereas the external stations (Meydan, Sabkha, and Ittihad) will be operational from 06.00 am up to 10:00 pm, City Center and Karama Stations will open from 06:00 am to 10:00 pm whereas the metro stations feeder buses in Sharjah and Bur Dubai will operate 24 hours, meanwhile Deira and Abu Dhabi Stations will open from 06:00 am to the midnight. Hatta Station will open from 05:30 am to 09:30 pm, while Fujairah and Ajman Stations will work from 06:00 am up to 10:00 pm.

“The new timings of all metro stations will be from 05:50 am up to 12:00 (midnight) from Saturday to Wednesday, from 05:50 am up to 01:00 am on Thursday, and from 01:00 pm to 01:00 am on Friday.

"Marine transit modes timing will be as follows: Water Bus from 08:00 am to 12:00 am (midnight), Water Taxi from 10:00 am to 12:00 am (midnight), and Ferry Dubai from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm on all week days.

“The working hours of vehicle testing & registration centers during Ramadan from Saturday to Thursday will be from 08:00 am up to 03:00 pm, and from 09:00 pm to 12:00 am (midnight) at all service-providers namely; Wasil, ENOC, Tasjeel, Tamam, Mumayaz, and Shamil Testing Centers.

“The timing of drivers testing centers will be throughout the week from 08:00 am up to 08:00 pm. Belhassa Centers (Nad Al Hamar, Al Qouze and Al Jadaf) will be working from 08:00 am to 08:00 pm, Belhasa Jebel Ali Center will work from 07:00 am up to 04:00 pm, and Emirates Institute will work from 09:30 am to 03:30 pm whereas Dubai & Al Ahli Centers will work from 08:30 am to 05:00 pm and Galadari Center from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm.

"These changes are made as part of RTA strategy aimed at delivering classy services to all spectrums of the community aligned with the international standards applicable in this regard in a way that meets customer needs of these services during the holy month of Ramadan," said Al Busmait in a final remark.
