RTA To Extend Metro Operation Time During Eid Holidays
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the extension of the Dubai Metro working hours from Friday 29 of the Holy month of Ramadan corresponding 17 August to Wednesday 22 August 2012 to be from 05:50 am up to 01:00 am instead of the normal closing time of 00:00 hours (midnight). The metro starts operation at 1:00 PM only on Fridays.
The CEO of RTA Rail Agency Adnan Al Hamadi said: "Extending the metro working hours echoes RTA’s strategy aimed at delivering top quality services to all spectrums of the community at the highest standards of the industry worldwide in order to serve customer needs of the metro service during the Eid holidays.
"This step has been taken to ensure the delivery of best-in-class services during special occasions in order to offer citizens, residents and visitors transit services through the metro up to 01:00 am (past midnight) and enjoy the holiday of Eid Al Fitre.
On the occasion, the RTA extends the best of greetings & congratulations to the supreme leadership of the UAE and the entire Arab & Moslem worlds, and prays to Allah Almighty to mark the occasion with added boons and blessings.
