International South African artist Carla Louw is exhibiting her paintings for the first time in Dubai. Carla’s paintings raw and abrasive in colour and surface, broadly delineated, illustrates her enthusiasm and vivacity with which she approaches everything in life.With palette knife, brush and even fingers she explores still-life, landscape and portraiture, the human face and figure and colour is boldly applied. Carla’s works are accompanied by two other South African artists Nigel and Helena Fann.Helena paints in Acrylics her Siamese Fighting fish have to be seen to be believed! Nigel also uses Acrylics but his works are more impressionistic and are very textured as he paints onto Jute or canvas.
