Dickens on Film - A British Council Touring Programme
For residents of Abu Dhabi, it is the best of times to enjoy the works of one of Britain’s most beloved authors on screen. This month, the British Council UAE and the Abu Dhabi Film Festival join forces for a special week-long presentation of films adapted from the literary works of Charles Dickens. The program is a touring version of a three-month retrospective entitled "Dickens on Film," held this year at London’s BFI Southbank as part of Dickens 2012, the British Council’s wide-ranging celebration of the 200th anniversary of the author’s birth.
