UIM XCAT Middle East Series-(Heat 1)
The spectacular sport of XCat ( Extreme Catamaran) offshore powerboat racing is divided into 4 heats between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The boat is crewed by a driver and co-driver. They have to work together to negotiate the boat around the course at open seas. The Podium and the seating stage is set at the end of the break water beside the UAE Flag place. The Abu Dhabi rounds are usually run around LuLu Island. This is a great attraction for spectators as they can see the boats race past in-front of them and at the Abu Dhabi Corniche. Approximately 30 boats participate in this championship of different nationalities.
