Abu Dhabi Welcomes Inaugural Art Exhibition ’European Contemporary Masters’
Bel-Air Fine Art Gallery brings pieces from the likes of Salvador Dali, Corda and Mazel-Jalix to the UAE capital for four days
Under the patronage and presence of His Highness Sheikh Suroor Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, ‘AVENUE AT ETIHAD TOWERS’ – Abu Dhabi’s first standalone high-end luxury shopping destination – welcomed today the European Contemporary Masters exhibition with pieces from the celebrated Bel-Air Fine Art Gallery in Geneva, Switzerland. The impressive pieces from world renowned artists including Salvadore Dali, Corda and Mazel-Jalix will be on exhibit at Avenue at Etihad Towers from 12 to 16 December.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. François Chabanian, Owner and CEO of Bel-Air Fine Art Gallery in the presence of His Excellency Nasser Al Nowais, Chairman of Aswaq Management & Services and Rotana Hotels. The European Contemporary Masters Exhibition is the first art exhibition to be hosted at AVENUE AT ETIHAD TOWERS, serving as a preview in to the destination’s 2013 plans to partner and host an array of art and culture exhibits.
This season sees Bel-Air Fine Art Gallery presenting a selection of artists in the vein of the Neo Pop Art movement and Nouveau Réalisme under the leadership of François Chabanian, who has been known to not only nurture the evolution of contemporary art but also participate in its re-invention.

We look forward to welcoming UAE residents and tourists to experience these one-of-a-kind pieces in the capital’s premier luxury destination.”
During the four-day exhibition, visitors can enjoy the works of French sculptor Mauro Corda, legendary Spanish sculptor Salvador Felipe Jacinto Dali I Domenech and the prolific works of Mazel-Jalix – made up of duo Jean-Claude Mazel and Yann Jalix. The French sculptor Richard Orlinski – who, since 2010 is the first French pop-art sculptor – will also have his pieces displayed, alongside Dutch-South African fast emerging artist Joseph Klibansky. Also of Dutch origin, artist Micha Tauber’s captivating works will be presented. Pieces from David Kracov, the exclusive licensed sculptor of all Warner Bros. Looney Tunes, Hanna-Barbera, and Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride characters will be displayed, in addition to works from Lirone, who has created a unique and revolutionary photography technique that combines the aesthetics of painting and sculpture with an original photograph. Dorit, an artist who was awarded a prize of excellence by the Soho Gallery in New York for her drawing “old lady” will have her work exhibited, as well as Italian artist Marcello Lo Giudice, one of the most interesting artists of the new informal frontier. City of Dreams depicting the UAE by Joseph Klibansky will also be presented along with, Arabian Horses series by Bisch and displays from Penucchetti who will be exhibiting two pieces of work - Shoes and the City as well as Born with a Silver Spoon.
The European Contemporary Masters Exhibition will be displayed from 12 to 16 December from 10am to 10pm daily at AVENUE AT ETIHAD TOWERS.
