Sky News Arabia Extends Multi-Media Offering With TuneIn
Sky News Arabia - 24-hour, Arabic-language rolling news channel broadcasting from Abu Dhabi - has added TuneIn to its portfolio of multi-media offerings, enabling viewers to access live audio of the channel’s broadcast while online or on the go.
TuneIn allows users to stay up-to-date with the latest news from Sky News Arabia via their mobile devices without sacrificing the bandwidth required for full video live streaming.
"Our launch on TuneIn comes as part of our commitment to meet our audience’s demand for information on the go. This service gives our viewers the ability to get breaking news around the clock while using up less bandwidth from their mobile data packages than with traditional live streaming. The addition of TuneIn complements our mobile apps and our live stream service on the website and for iOS and Android devices and ensures that our audience is able to have access to news in the format most convenient to them," it said in a statement.
The service is available on a wide range of mobile operating systems including iOS, Android, Palm, Blackberry and Windows Phone as well as online.
Sky News Arabia is a joint venture between Abu Dhabi Media Investment Corporation (ADMIC) and the UK’s BSkyB.
