Ministry Of State For Federal National Council Affairs Publishes Book To Enhance Political Participation
The Ministry of Federal National Council Affairs (MSFNCA) published a book entitled “Political Participation Culture…Establishment and Empowerment”, as a part of MSFNCA’s vision to raise awareness about political participation among members of the community.
The book comprises two parts; the first focusing on electronic empowerment bulletins that have been widely circulated among various segments of the society, and the second containing all the information about Political Awareness Development Forum for universities students. The book also includes a number of political events, activities and initiatives, implemented by the Ministry in 2012.
“The publishing of this book is in line with the keenness of our leadership to develop political empowerment gradually, according to the requirements of the UAE’s community,” said H.E. Tariq Hilal Lootah, Director General of Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs.
He pointed out the Ministry was keen to raise political awareness among all categories of the community, considering it an important tool to create a generation which is aware of the latest political developments and situations.
The first part of the book documents all the previous online empowerment bulletins, containing a series of topics related to parliamentary life in the country, as well as information and messages aimed at improving political awareness.
The book addresses the four releases of empowerment bulletins which contain information on FNC Elections 2011, parliamentary diplomacy in FNC work, Empowerment Programme Book, women in parliamentary life, parliamentary terms, political awareness building for children, history of parliamentary life in the country, political awareness session, parliamentary experiences in the United States of America, etc.
The second part includes, in detail, all the elements of Political Awareness Development Forum for university students, organized by MSFNCA in cooperation with UAE University, such as H.H Sheikh Khalifa’s vision to enhance the political role of women, empowerment, and political participation of youth.
The book also highlights paper works on FNC elections 2006-2011, the law framework of the elections, the role of social media in raising political awareness for youth, the role of media in supporting political culture, etc.
