Abu Dhabi Capital Management Wins Private Equity Fund Of The Year Award
ADCM’s Secondary Private Equity Fund recognised at 4th Annual MENA Fund Manager Performance Awards in Dubai
Abu Dhabi Capital Management (ADCM), a GCC-focused alternative investment firm, today announced that its Secondary Private Equity Fund (ADCM-SPEF) has been named the Private Equity Fund of the Year at the 4th Annual MENA Fund Manager Performance Awards in Dubai.
The MENA FM Performance Awards are given based on overall fund performance, along with a wide range of qualitative and structural benchmarks. These honours are awarded by a judging panel representing a cross-section of the industry’s leading institutional and private investors, and industry experts.
Commenting on this award, Jassim Alseddiqi, Chief Executive Officer, Abu Dhabi Capital Management, said: “We are very pleased to receive this recognition, which validates Abu Dhabi Capital Management’s commitment to delivering consistent value to our investors. ADCM-SPEF was predicated on maximising the investment potential of the region, and today’s announcement confirms the fund’s position as a market leader. This award is a clear sign of the growing investment appetite among LPs and GPs in the wider Middle East and North Africa region, where we ADCM continue to establish itself as a major force.”
The ADCM Secondary Private Equity Fund (ADCM-SPEF), which was established in March 2011, seeks to realise substantial long-term capital gains by purchasing secondary Limited Partners’ interests in private equity funds, which are managed by leading General Partners across the MENA region and around the world. SPEF is the only secondary fund that targets MENA-based private equity funds.
Established in January 2011, ADCM currently manages more than $170 million in assets for institutional and high net worth individuals, deployed in Special Situations Private Equity and Real Estate opportunities. In early 2012, ADCM launched Qannas Investments Limited (QIL), a $200 million London Stock Exchange Alternative Investment Market (AIM) listed vehicle, focused on investing opportunistically in the GCC region.
