Ministry Of State For FNC Affairs Organises Visit For Children
The Ministry of State for FNC Affairs has organised a visit to the 8th FNC session by members of the Children’s City Council as part of efforts to enhance political awareness in the community. The 8th FNC session will discuss the Ministry of Environment and Water policy regarding the protection of soil and vegetation.
“The Ministry of FNC Affairs strives to strengthen and consolidate the culture of political participation, and is keen to enhance political awareness in the community. The process also includes efforts to educate all segments of the community about the Federal National Council parliamentary experience. The Children’s City Council members’ visit to the FNC represents a practical implementation of our vision to equip the new generation with the useful tools and knowledge to become future parliamentarians,” said His Excellency Dr. Saeed Al Ghafli, Assistant Undersecretary for Federal National Council Affairs at the Ministry of State for FNC Affairs.
“This visit will provide an opportunity for the children to see and experience for themselves the discussions taking place in the FNC and simulate them in the Children’s City Council, especially considering that they have already taken up for discussion environment issues such as carbon-free initiatives in schools,” said Iman Mohammed Ahmed Senior Partnerships Officer at Dubai Municipality and rapporteur of the Children’s City Council.
The Federal National Council secretariat programme for the members of the Children’s City Council include a tour of the FNC museum and awareness sessions on FNC establishments and practices over the years.
The Children’s City Council is a joint initiative between the Dubai Municipality, Dubai Educational Zone and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai. It comprises 26 members chosen on the basis of specific criteria from all the schools in Dubai.
