’’Zoo Safaris’’ Return To Al Ain Zoo This Spring
Week-long programmes offer edutainment for children
Zoo Safaris will once again return to Al Ain Zoo this spring to offer children an exciting and educational experience. Organised by the Education Centre, the Spring Safaris allow children to explore and learn about wildlife and nature in the inspiring setting of Al Ain Zoo. The first Spring Safari session will take place from 31st March to 4th April, and the second from 7th to 11th April.
Spring Safari participants will enjoy a wide range of fun and interactive educational activities including meeting animal keepers, a zoo treasure hunt, team-building games, back-of-house tours, arts and crafts, gardening activities and more. Al Ain Zoo will also give children the chance to participate in animal talks and to enjoy up-close encounters with their favourite animals.
Muna Al Dhaheri, Acting Chief Conservation & Education Officer at Al Ain Zoo, said:
“The Zoo Safari programmes teach youngsters about wildlife and nature – encouraging their involvement in the global causes of protection and conservation – and the success witnessed in these programmes over the past two years reflects their genuine enthusiasm for such causes. Al Ain Zoo is committed to educating future community leaders in a fun environment that allows them to both learn and make new friends. We are very proud of this ongoing initiative and look forward to another successful season of Spring Safaris.”
The Al Ain Zoo Spring Safaris are open to 40 children, age seven to 12 years. Each camp will run for five days from 8am to 1pm at a cost of AED250 per child, which includes all activities in addition to refreshments, a snack and a goodie bag. Placements for the Al Ain Zoo Spring Safaris can be reserved by calling Al Ain Zoo’s Education Centre at 03-799 2444.
