ADAC’s Airport Operations First Airports Company In The Region To Achieve ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001: 2004 And OHSAS 18001:2007 Certifications
Abu Dhabi Airports Company announced today that ADAC Airports Operations Division, including- Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Ain International Airport and Al Bateen Executive Airport, have received ISO 9001: 2008 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001: 2004 (Environmental Management System) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) Certifications across their airport operations activities.
The third party certification, in alignment with ADAC’s corporate mission of embracing a culture of quality and excellence, raises the company’s standard to international recognition.
H.E. Ali Majed Al Mansouri, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports Company, commented:
"The achievement of these Certifications is an important milestone in ADAC’s efforts towards continual improvement, verifying that ADAC Airports operates at levels recognized by international standards. We aim to operate our airports in a manner that promotes health and safety and ensures quality, and efficiency of our services, with a minimum impact on the environment. The Integrated management system drives forth legal and regulatory requirements, including the GCAA CARs, CAAPs and the Abu Dhabi EHSMS implementation across ADAC and its subsidiaries."
LRQA General Manager for Middle East & Africa, Basem Obaid added: "The certification of ADAC Airports’ operations marks the success of the company in being the first airport in the region to achieve all 3 certifications from LRQA."
"The system’s integrated approach enabled a platform for legal and regulatory compliance as well as management of operational risks, standardisation of processes and procedures while at the same time promoting a culture of safety, environment and quality." He concluded.
