Dubai Land Department introduces "my e-licenses" program for real estate brokers
The Government of Dubai Land Department (LD) has launched the real estate e-licenses program. The program is part of service package introduced by the department during GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2012. The new application will help clients to complete their transactions without the need to visit the LD’s headquarter, thus saving time and effort and simplifying procedures and reducing congestion at the LD.
Sultan Butti bin Mejren, the Director General of the Land Department said: “This new electronic program comes in line with LD’s adopted strategy to offer premium services to the real estate sector so Dubai market becomes a regional model for real estate standards”.
He noted that Dubai is striving to develop its public services and enhance efficiency while focusing on customers. The goal of “My licenses” is to save customers’ time and effort by utilizing this modern e-technology. Each real estate firm licensed by RERA and registered in the Tabu (land registration system) can apply to get a username and password from the LD in order to access “My licenses” and register to submit applications electronically and easily.
Bin Mejren pointed out that real estate brokers can access the e-licenses as well, for example to request the issuance of real estate broker ID card, apply for renewal, cancelation, replacement of a lost card and request data modification in the brokers register. The real estate firm can apply to issue real estate office certificate, renew expired certificate, modify the information of the firm, cancelation and ability to reprint the firm’s certificate.
According to the LD’s Director General, the broker or the firm’s authorized person can access this program through the LD’s official website www.dubailand.gov.ae
