Emirates NBD Organises Special Ceremony On The Occasion Of 41st UAE National Day
Celebrations included planting of the Union Tree in line with the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai
Established module village to display traditional lifestyle, live cooking and music inspired by pre-oil heritage in the UAE
As part of its continued celebrations to mark the 41st anniversary of the National Day of the UAE, Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, organised a two-day event at the bank’s Head Office Branch in Deira.
At a special ceremony held outside the bank’s Head Office Branch, senior officials from Emirates NBD planted the ‘Union Tree’ in honour of the Union Tree initiative that was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The symbolic act was undertaken to bring the national sentiment together, reflecting love and loyalty of the UAE nationals and residents for the country on the anniversary of its National Day.
Emirates NBD also set up a Heritage Village inside its Head Office, recreating scenes from the earliest days of the UAE. Inaugurated by Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim, Vice Chairman and Rick Pudner, Group Chief Executive Officer, Emirates NBD, in the presence of other board members and senior officials from the bank, the module Heritage Village offered the bank’s customers and visitors, a chance to experience traditional Emirati lifestyle. The event included live traditional cooking stations, Arabic coffee and folk snacks for visitors to experience a taste of Emirati hospitality.
The celebrations also had a live display of the bridal rituals, costumes and henna applications with the festivity of bands that played national folk songs.
