Dubai Culture Marks UAE’s 41st National Day With Array Of Activities
The Authority flagged off celebrations with the planting of the ’Union Tree’
The Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated Authority for culture, arts, and heritage, marked the UAE’s 41st National Day with an array of activities at the Al Mankhool Public Library.
In line with the ‘Spirit of the Union,’ Dubai Culture celebrated the solidarity and camaraderie associated with the UAE National Day with the planting of the ‘Union Tree,’ in line with the announcement by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
Saeed Al Nabouda, Acting Director General of Dubai Culture, planted the tree in the presence of officials, and the Authority’s associates across all departments, in addition to singing the national anthem.
A highlight of the activities included a performance by renowned singer Omar Tahiri’s UAE is my Life, written by Salem Al Zamer under the sponsorship of Dubai Culture. The Authority also held an art competition ‘Art for the Love of the Country’ for associates’ children to creatively express their pride on the UAE’s achievements.
Dubai Culture held a couple of major activities and events in Dubai as part of the National Day celebrations which included art exhibitions, poetry recitals and folklore evenings.
