Egyptian Maestro Omar Khairat Concert To Head Start DSF 2013’s Musical Offerings
For music lovers in Dubai, the second day of DSF 2013, January 4th, looks set to strike a melodic note with the opportunity to listen to legendary Arab composer and pianist Omar Khairat and his musical ensemble perform live from 9pm at the Dubai World Trade Centre’s Sheikh Rashid Hall.
Synonymous with beautiful, innovative symphonic music, Khairat will present some of the classics from his oeuvre of compositions. One of the most applauded and influential composers and pianists in the Middle East, the great Egyptian master of both classical and modern musical expression is noted for bridging Middle Eastern and western approaches to music, bringing a western harmonic flair to classical Arabic melodies.
With the composer promising to present a special surprise for his Dubai audience, the concert is expected to be among the most touching and elegant of the season as he performs classics from his fascinating repertoire.
