Dubai To Host AEEDC Dubai 2013 Next Feb.
The 17th edition of the UAE International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition, AEEDC Dubai 2013, will take place at the state-of-the-art Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre (DICEC) from 5th - 7th February 2013, organizers announced.
The announcement was made at a press conference held at Dubai Press Club by the organizers of the event, INDEX Conferences and Exhibition, member of INDEX Holding, in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority.
The 3-day event, which is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, deputy ruler of Dubai and UAE minister of finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority, will take place at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on February 5th, 2013.
More than 1000 exhibiting companies and 130 international and regional speakers specialized in dentistry and oral health from 70 countries are meeting up at the 3rd largest international dental conference and exhibition in the world.
Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of the AEEDC Dubai and The Global Scientific Dental Alliance said: "this year we are expecting more than 30,000 participants and visitors, this growth in both the number of exhibitors and the space of the exhibition area of AEEDC reflects the strategic position and credibility that Dubai possesses, in addition to AEEDC’s capability of presenting the latest research ’&’ technology in this field".
"AEEDC Dubai emphasizes the integration of various elements of success, in terms of economic, trade, health and tourism which will contribute to the country’s economy in all these sectors as a result of its great financial returns." Al Madani said.
AEEDC Dubai exhibition covers 30,000 Square meters of space, and the number of companies participating in AEEDC this year will reach 1000 companies from 70 countries. More than 60 thousand room nights have been booked and the outcome of the business deals from AEEDC is expected to increase by 15% from the previous year. This is largely due to the increase in budgets allocated by GCC countries towards the health and education sectors, according to Al Madani.
AEEDC Dubai represents an outstanding opportunity for all dentists and decision makers from the private and public sectors, to purchase necessary equipment and devices displayed by major international companies. Moreover, AEEDC Exhibition will feature 17 national pavilions primarily from: Argentina, Brazil, China, Finland, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States of America, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Tariq Khouri, the Director of the Dental Department at the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the Honorary Chairman of AEEDC Dubai said: "The DHA has always been supporting AEEDC since its early days of inception back in 1996 until this day due to the economic importance of this scientific event. AEEDC serves a vital dental platform not only on a domestic level, but regionally and globally. Under the guidance of H.H. On his part, Dr. Nasser Al Malik Chairman of AEEDC Dubai Conference said that the AEEDC Scientific Advisory Committee has been working diligently to present new program ideas and provide knowledge that shall add value.
"We are introducing new and diverse concepts for AEEDC Dubai 2013; first we have a symposium in ’Rapid Orthodontics’, a fast developing discipline in Dental Orthodontics. Moreover, we have a dedicated full-day session for Aesthetic Dentistry, having emphasis on various updates and controversies. Both activities will be integrated in the conference program and will have keynote international speakers," said Dr. Al Malik.
AEEDC Dubai 2013 will feature a number of intensive scientific activities such as: The GCC Preventive Dentistry Conference, AEEDC Advanced Specialty Courses, Poster and Oral Poster Presentations, The 4th AEEDC Student Competition, and The AEEDC Dubai Awards.
AEEDC Advanced Specialty Courses will be running parallel to AEEDC’s Conference and will provide advanced and updated theoretical and methodological approaches. The courses will also provide systematic and comprehensive knowledge on current and different theories, enhance the practical expertise of the dental specialists, build a knowledge platform among qualified specialists across the globe and help them gain extra CME points.
