• Hollywood’s finest acting coaches visit Dubai to offer children and teenagers intensive masterclass in acting

The Los Angeles-based Young Film Actors Experience is heading to Dubai for a three-day film intensive experience, addressing kids and teens with or without experience who want to deepen their training and polish their acting craft.

Beginning Thursday, January 17th 2013, at The Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre, the powerful acting lessons will be in improvisation, drama, television and comedy/audition work, with workshops to encourage students to break down inhibitions and find inner power to create truthful characters on screen. While many of the students will have already been introduced to skills and approaches to acting, the classes and workshops are designed to provide participants with intensive exposure to the resources and tools they will need to posses in their pursuit of acting success.

Celebrity appearances include Disney’s Mitchel Musso, who will attend a dinner discussion with the actors on the first day and also teach the comedy television class on the second day of the program. Best known for the Disney Channel roles as the friendly and flirtatious Oliver Oken in Hannah Montana, King Brady in Pair of Kings and Jeremy Johnson (voiced by Musso) in Phineas and Ferb, Musso has also starred in Spielberg and Zemeckis’ Oscar-nominated movie "Monster House" and had appearances in popular television series including "Walker: Texas Ranger" and "Snow Buddies". Meanwhile, Los Angeles casting director Eileen Kennedy and Dubai-based executives Ian Ross of Central Films and Miranda Davidson of Bareface agency will share their experience and knowledge with the class.

"The acting industry is one of the toughest areas to find success", says Education Director for Young Film Actors Experience. "Due to the high competition and the limited number of jobs available, aspiring actors are almost never given the chance to prove themselves, and they almost always end up losing faith in their abilities."

"The acting program is a unique experience for teenagers who have an interest in performing in front of the camera. Rather than limiting themselves to formal study that will never materialize, participants will be able to combine exciting, experiential and interactive classes with direct, hands-on acting workshops supervised by reputable names in the filmmaking industry", continues spokesperson for the Young Film Actors Experience.

At the end of the three-day intensive training, students will posses real skills and knowledge to catapult themselves towards real-world acting opportunities and have a wider perspective upon the film and television industry. During the program, students will also be able to complete actor’s tools consisting of resume, actor’s film reel, headshots and other essentials needed to get started in the film industry.
