ADIB’s Financial Education Program Extends To Global Village Visitors
ADIB is the key sponsor and the Official Bank for the second year in a row for the 18th edition of Global Village
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a top-tier Islamic financial services institution, announced today that it had reached a large numbers of the Global Village visitors through its Financial Education Campaign. ADIB is the key sponsor and the Official Bank of Global Village for the second year running, and this sponsorship is part of ADIB’s strategy to support and promote initiatives launched by the government endorsing the UAE’s tourism and entertainment industries.
The 18th edition of Global Village, a unique international destination for tourism, entertainment, leisure and culture in the region, opened its doors on October 21st, 2012, and will run until March 30th, 2013. Global Village remains one of the UAE’s most popular attractions with an estimated 5 million visitors annually. ADIB is offering exclusive services at the venue by providing ATMs, in addition to setting up specially designed mobile branches where visitors can receive information about financial management and ADIB’s unique products and service.

ADIB is also hosting a number of educational shows by using the well-loved children’s character “Darhoom”, to build on the success of last year’s Global Village sponsorship, where the concept of financial education was promoted to over 25,000 consumers. This year, visitors are also enjoying a number of children’s games and entertainment activities including football tournaments, life-sized Snakes & Ladders, jugglers, piñatas, colouring books and reading activities.
During the 2011-2012 edition of Global Village, the ADIB stand was visited by over 23,000 children and an approximate 250,000 transactions took place at the bank’s network of on-site ATMs throughout the festival.
