Mohammed Bin Rashid Receives Champions Of Gulf Cup 21
The UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, met today at his Palace in Za’beel the members of the UAE National Football Team who won the 21st Gulf Cup title in Bahrain.
Present at the meeting was H. H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed received the Cup from the team’s captain Ismael Matar, then shook hands with members of the management and technical staff and congratulated them on the great achievement that had, he said, brought thrills and happiness to the hearts of the UAE citizens as well as the GCC people.
’’I was following your training from the beginning as well as your matches in Gulf Cup and particularly the final match with Iraq and I was happy to see that national cohesion among you on the pitch as well as between you and our people who supported you. This embodies the spirit of national belonging for this precious country,’’ the Vice President said.
In the attendance were Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and Chairman of the General Authority for Youth and Sports, Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, Director General of the Office of the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Major-General Mohammed Al Marri, Director-General of the DNRD, senior officials of the UAE Football Association, sportspersons and media representatives.
