To Enhance Awareness On Sustainable Development, DEWA Recognizes The Winners Of ’Living Green’ On Twitter
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has organized a competition for Twitter users, called Living Green, coinciding with the forthcoming launch of its sustainable building at Al Quoz, which is the first public sector sustainable building in the world. This competition is part of DEWA’s strategy to promote awareness within Dubai about the importance of sustainable development, preserving natural resources and protecting the environment. This strategy also supports the long-term national initiative launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, under the theme of Green Economy For Sustainable Development’ to build a green economy in the UAE.
The winners of this competition, which contained questions on environmental issues and how to live green in an environment-friendly manner, are Marwan Abu Rahma, Fatima Painter, Amir Mohammed Adam, Mohammed Awad and Noura Al Amri. Many DEWA followers on Twitter participated in the competition, and winners, who have successfully answered the daily questions, were presented with prizes.
