Celebrate The Year Of The Snake At Mall Of The Emirates
11 days of dynamic cultural performances to celebrate Chinese New Year Esteemed members of the Chinese community to inaugurate the festivities
Mall of the Emirates is celebrating the Chinese New Year with an 11-day festival for The Year of the Snake. The Chinese Women’s Association, Chinese dignitaries and businessmen in Dubai, Senior Management from Kempinski Mall of the Emirates and Majid Al Futtaim Properties will be participating in the inaugural ceremony on February 10th to celebrate the multinational diversity of Dubai with the community. Starting at 4pm, the celebratory evening will be hosted by popular radio and TV personality Simone Heng with a program of traditional entertainment including calligraphy, martial arts demonstrations, and musical performances.
“We would like to thank the Chinese Women’s Association in Dubai for their support in helping us create a unique community-wide event that all nationalities can enjoy,” said Anna Mansour, Senior Manager for Mall of the Emirates. “Mall of the Emirates has planned an exciting calendar of traditional performances, giving visitors the chance to experience authentic Chinese culture and celebrate the Year of the Snake.”
The Chinese New Year celebration will continue until February 20th, with daily performances from 3pm to 9pm ranging from Chinese folk dance, drum show, calligraphy, face-changing, Taiji boxing, Chinese Kung Fu and traditional musical instruments.
Kempinski Hotel, Mall of the Emirates will be joining in the festivities by serving up authentic Chinese culinary experiences. ‘K Grill’ restaurant is having a Chinese breakfast and dinner buffet to celebrate the Chinese New Year on February 10th. While ‘Aspen by Kempinski’ is hosting traditional Chinese Phoenix Oolong tea accompanied by fresh Dim-Sum and Chinese cookies.
