Liberty Automobiles unveils all-new Cadillac XTS and Cadillac ATS, powered by breakthrough technology
Outstanding features include the industry-leading CUE touch-screen ’infotainment’ system
Liberty Automobiles unveiled the all-new 2013 Cadillac XTS and Cadillac ATS, which come with industry-leading features, at a special launch held at its Sheikh Zayed Road Showroom in Dubai on Saturday. The event was attended by Sheikh Khalid Abdul Aziz Al Qasimi, Chairman of Liberty Group and top executives from General Motors Middle East.
The two new sedans feature the exclusive CUE (Cadillac User Experience) infotainment system and the “control and alert” system that employs radar, cameras and ultrasonic sensors to help prevent crashes.
The Cadillac XTS, the most technologically advanced in Cadillac’s long history of car-making, boasts a number of advanced safety systems that enhance driver vision and help avoid collisions. These include Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic Front and Rear Braking, the safety alert seat that vibrates to alert the driver and the intervening braking system that lessens or avoids potential collisions.
The Cadillac ATS is the most agile and lightweight Cadillac, and at 1,504kg, boasts one of the lowest curb weights in the segment.
The car has near 50/50 weight distribution and extremely balanced ride and handling. Designed to challenge the world’s best premium cars, it is a luxury sedan that is fun to drive. It boasts a stylish exterior and illumination and its sleek aerodynamic design expands the Cadillac line up and supports the brand’s ongoing renaissance.
John Stadwick, President and Managing Director General Motors Middle East, who attended the launch event, said: “We are pleased to bring to the Middle East market two all-new Cadillacs, the first of 10 new entries in the coming three years.”
“2012 was a fantastic year for Cadillac, with the brand recording its best ever sales year in the region. We expect the momentum to continue this year. Liberty Automobiles has been our partner in the UAE since 1976 and together we have forged a strong relationship to give our customers a world class shopping, buying and ownership experience,” added Stadwick.
Duncan Peat, Managing Director of Liberty Automobiles, said:
“Liberty Automobiles is delighted to bring to our customers these two new-generation models from Cadillac. The dramatic styling of both XTS and ATS, along with the advanced CUE technology, puts them in head-to-head competition with the dominant luxury brands in the market. We are confident that Cadillac and other premier car lovers in the UAE will find the new models irresistible.”
Over the years, Cadillac has been leader in many high-tech innovations, including the first automotive night vision system and Magnetic Ride Control, the world’s fastest-reacting suspension technology, which is a crucial element in the performance of Cadillac’s CTS-V and Escalade models, as well as the all-new XTS and ATS sedans. It has since been adopted by other manufacturers of elite sports cars.
The acclaimed CUE system features an eight-inch LCD multi-touch sensitive screen, seamlessly integrated into the top of the central instrument panel. It integrates entertainment and information data from up to 10 Bluetooth-enabled mobile devices, USBs, SD cards and MP3 players, with a vehicle infotainment system that reduces complexity through customized information, voice commands and fewer buttons and larger icons.
Under the Cadillac Premium Care program, Liberty Automobiles is offering complimentary service and maintenance for four years/100,000kms, Future Value Guarantee (to assure retention of high value even after few years of usage), regional roadside assistance for four years, four year/100,000 kms warranty and courtesy transportation for service customers.
The launch of all-new 2013 Cadillac XTS and Cadillac ATS in the UAE comes at a time when the high-end luxury car market is gaining momentum. With the expanded Cadillac line-up, Liberty Automobiles forecasts a 20% increase in luxury car sales this year.
