DAFZA Is The First Airport Free Zone In The Middle East To Be Awarded International Security Management Certification
In compliance with Dubai’s vision to be one of the safest cities in the world, and to further align its operations and strategy, Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZA) has successfully obtained an international standard for security management (ISO 28000:2007) which covers all its operations and extends to its supply chain, implemented by a professional security team.
The certificate was awarded due the visionary guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Dubai Airport Freezone Chairman His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
DAFZA implemented proactive measures to ensure tenant and employee safety, such as specialised training sessions for personnel on how to avoid security risks while working in the Freezone.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Ayoub Ahmed Alhammadi, Senior Director of corporate support division at DAFZA said, “DAFZA prioritizes the safety of its people. The security management system is based on a fundamental respect to our stakeholders, tenants and employees. Safeguarding our assets is critical to preventing losses and protecting the interests of those invested in the Freezone.”
He added, “It has been a strategic goal at the Freezone to drive a safer and more secure free zone forward. We uphold international standards across the Freezone, in terms of facilities and services; therefore it is imperative that we do so with respect to security management and the safety of our personnel.”
DAFZA offers day and night security services to all tenants, manned by trained professional staff and supported by hi-tech equipment.
