Dubai Airport Freezone To Showcase Its Facilities At Gulfood 2013
Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZA) will be participating in Gulfood, the world’s largest annual food and hospitality show, from 25-28 February, to present its services and facilities to key companies from across the industry. The Free zone will leverage the exhibition to help achieve its plans in growing its food and beverage (F&B) tenant sector by 8% per cent this year.
Mohammed Suwailem, Senior Director of Sales at DAFZA, commented on the Freezone’s participation, “The F&B industry is an important business sector for the UAE and the Free zone, as DAFZA has hosted renowned tenants like Heinz, Red Bull and Hershey’s for many years. Gulfood is an excellent opportunity to showcase our unique facilities and services to international investors and leaders at an exhibition that has succeeded in shaping the food and beverage industry for almost three decades.”
Jamal Bin Marghoob, Marketing and Corporate Communications Director, DAFZA, commented, “Our participation at Gulfood directly reflects our marketing and sales strategy for 2013, aiming to maintain and increase the sales revenue generated last year. We plan on achieving this through the diversification of our tenant sectors through seminars as a primary vehicle; Gulfood is an example of our focus on the food and beverage industry.”
Currently, six per cent of companies in the Freezone operate in the food and beverage industry and maximise usage of the Free zone’s facilities and services. In addition, DAFZA boasts prime location and attractive investment opportunities; international investors reap the benefits of dynamic growth through the Freezone’s tax exemption and foreign ownership policies.
