Dubai World Trade Centre Refurbishes Landmark Hotel Apartments
Visitors respond positively as rooms fully booked during Gulfood 2013
Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has completed the latest refurbishment of its hotel apartments, the landmark buildings which stand within walking distance of the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The three apartment blocks, recently renamed ‘The Apartments’, have stood as a testament to Dubai’s progress since its opening in 1979, and using its ideal position and centralised location, the Apartments at DWTC have kept pace with the emirate’s astonishing growth, ensuring the services exceed international standards.
The Apartments are conveniently located at the footsteps of the Trade Centre Metro station, making it easy for business and leisure travelers to access the airport, the exhibition halls or other landmarks across the emirate. They are designed to accommodate short-to-medium term guests, providing a choice of 543 spacious apartments which have been refreshed with a contemporary style. The Apartments are also fully equipped with WiFi and provide state-of-the-art facilities such as a temperature controlled swimming pool, jacuzzi, fully-equipped gym and a variety of fitness classes.
“Refurbishing the Apartments was a natural step for Dubai World Trade Centre as we further cement our position as an international destination for events and conferences”, said Issam Nizam, General Manager of The Apartments at Dubai World Trade Centre. “As our business and venue continues to grow each year, with everything ranging from mega trade shows and international congresses to live events, our aim is to provide a well-rounded visitor experience for our guests. Ultimately, our guests are not only visitors of DWTC but also of Dubai, and we will continue to provide world-class infrastructure that welcomes our guests and highlights the true hospitality of the emirate.”
The refurbishment has been met with favorable feedback from the international business community. The Apartments boasted full occupancy during the recently concluded Arab Health, and is fully booked ahead of the upcoming mega-show, Gulfood, which attracts visitors from both, the region and all over the world. According to an Economic Impact Assessment report by Oxford Economics in 2011, international attendees to events at DWTC have positively contributed to Dubai’s GDP, with 12 times more being spent on average per event than locally-based attendees.
The range of apartments include Superior rooms, Executive one-bedroom apartments and Deluxe apartments with either one, two or three bedrooms, to suit the specific needs of the guests. All apartments feature a spacious balcony. To book, call +971 4 331 4555 or visit www.theapartments.ae .
