Gulf Cup Victory Stamps Presented To HH Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan
HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Honorary President of UAE Football Federation was presented with framed stamps issued by Emirates Post to commemorate the historic victory of the UAE in the 21st Gulf Cup.
The stamps were presented to HH Sheikh Hazza by Mr. Fahad Al Hosni, Acting President of Emirates Post Group, Mr. Abdullah Al Ashram, CEO of Emirates Post and Mrs. Sheikha Al Ameri, Manager of Emirates Philately, at a ceremony held at the Armed Forces Officers Club in Abu Dhabi.
The stamps were issued in association with the UAE Football Association and under the sponsorship of Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (Julphar). The stamps feature a photograph of the victorious UAE Football Team after the historic win, as well as a portrait of the UAE coach Mahdi Ali.
Mr. Fahad Al Hosni, Acting President of Emirates Post Group, said:
"These special commemorative stamps issued by Emirates Post in collaboration with the UAE Football Federation are a fitting tribute to the heroic performance of our national football team. We wish them many more victories in the days to come."
The Gulf Cup Championship, held once in two years, has developed into one of the biggest football tournaments in the region. The 21st Gulf Cup, held in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain from January 5 to 8, 2013, attracted a large number of spectators and soccer fans from across the region. The UAE national football won this prestigious tournament for the second time in its history, unleashing waves of celebrations across the country.
