Emirates International Salon Culinaire 2013 Recognises Best In Regional Culinary Excellence
The Emirates International Salon Culinaire 2013 recognised the best of culinary talent from the region’s leading hotels at Gulfood 2013, the largest international annual trade show for food and hospitality. A much-anticipated feature of the four-day exhibition, the Salon Culinaire 2013 hosted over 1,500 cuisine and pastry chefs, cooks and bakers in heated competition across 23 categories that included both live cooking sessions and static displays of culinary art, finesse and skill.
The Salon Culinaire was organised by the Emirates Culinary Guild – the region’s largest association of professional chefs and judged by a panel of 25 renowned experts mandated by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS).

Best Arabian Cuisinier - Alaa Salameh, Al Ain Rotana

Best Kitchen Artist - Rohita Kumara Kasthuriachchi, Burj Al Arab Hotel
Best Gastronomist – Mahesh Aruna Peters, The Address Downtown Hotel

Best Gastronomist (2nd Runner Up) – Bikash Bonny Thomas, Jumeirah Emirates Tower Hotel
