Interactive ’Little Consumer Village’ Educates Parents And Kids About Making Responsible Purchases For The Family
Mirdif City Centre has partnered up with the Department of Economic Development to host the ‘Little Consumer Village,’ an educational activity for kids aimed to raising awareness of consumer rights to parents and their little ones. Activities are held daily at the Village until November 24th, from 10:00am-10:00pm in the mall’s Central Galleria.
“Mirdif City Centre is pleased to host a community campaign that educates our shoppers about the importance of making smart shopping decisions, and our rights as consumers,†said Hussain Moosa, Associate Director of Mirdif City Centre, “The Little Consumer Village is just as entertaining as it is educational for parents and children, and our aim is to make an impact on purchasing decisions for the younger generation.â€
Hosted at the Central Galleria, the ‘Little Consumer Village’ features interactive stations that educate and offer advice to families about consumer protection and responsible shopping as a parent. Topics and activities include: smart purchasing habits, healthy eating and personal hygiene tips, setting parental controls for TV and online content, ratings for movies and games and more. In addition, the ‘Village’ makes learning fun with a storytelling and reading corner, a painting workshop and educational games.
Mirdif City Centre and the Department of Economic Development will also be reaching out to community schools, inviting them to visit the ‘Little Consumer Village’ during the event. For more information, please visit Facebook.com/MirdifCityCentre.
