Sharjah Classic Cars Museum Hosts Mini Cooper Week
Mini Cooper Aficionados Participate In Huge Numbers
Owners of Mini Coopers participated in an interesting event planned by the Sharjah Classic Cars Museum. Mini Cooper Week started on 19 November and gave owners of these classic cars a chance to win terrific prizes.
Mini Cooper aficionados entered into one of four categories – best participating car, best modified car, best classic car, and best modified classic car – each of which carried a cash prize of AED2000.
The event was organised in partnership with the Arabian Gulf Mechanical Centre (AGMC), and VKOOL.
The competition which was open to modern Mini Coopers, as well as to models manufactured before 1979 followed a standard classic car competition criteria and winners were selected by a panel of judges.
Admirers of this iconic car attended the event where, in addition to viewing the cars competing, they could view the Classic Cars Museum’s exhibition of historical cars, motorcycles and bicycles.
The winners were announced on 23rd November.
The Sharjah Classic Cars Museum displays more than 100 classic cars of different brands that were manufactured between 1915 and the 1985, with the aim of maintaining the historical value and highlighting the history of classic cars.
