2nd Government Summit Partners With ADCB
The Government Summit, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, from 10 -12 February 2014 under the theme “Leading Government Services”, has announced a partnership with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank.
The partnership between the Government Summit and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for future government that exceeds customers’ expectations. The Summit aims to underline an inspiring model of government services based on the ‘five-star’ hospitality, financial services and aviation industries, for which the United Arab Emirates is internationally renowned.

Mr. Ala’a Eraiqat, Executive Director and CEO of ADCB, will take part in one of the sessions highlighting the efficiency of banking sector services and how to leverage them in applications, institutions and government departments. TheSummit inits second editioncontinuesits partnershipswith a number ofinternational organisations and institutions such as theUnited Nations, Organization forEconomic Cooperation and Development, and at the national levelwith theMohammed bin Rashid Schoolof Governmentas a Knowledge Partner. Following the overwhelming success of the Government Summit in its first edition, UAE University is also coming on board as another major knowledge Partner, and the World Economic Forum as a Strategic Partner.
The Summit will be attended by over 60 regional and international speakers and intellectuals in addition to over 3500 delegates. It will witness the launch of a series of international reports on the development of government services, and propose many worksheets and constructive discussions that will contribute to the expansion and dissemination of knowledge and establishing a model government sector development in the region.
The previous Govt. Summit 2013 gained strong support from the UAE leadership. It was also very positively received by the public, and discussed topics of concern on a regional and international level.
During the last Summit, the UAE leadership established a new model for governmental transparency at the regional level, and an innovative practice of directly interacting with the public on topics related to national development.
