Blood Donation Campaign At The ADP Traffic And Patrols Directorate
Officers and staff members of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police took part in the second blood donation campaign organized by the directorate. The campaign, held in collaboration with the Khalifa Medical City’s Blood Bank at Health Authority- Abu Dhabi, HAAD, aims to promote the social responsibility and humanitarian role of the ADP, by donating blood to save patients in need of blood transfusions and those injured in traffic accidents.
Major Khalid Mohammed Al Fil, Head of the Community-based Initiatives Team and liaison officer for social responsibility policy at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police, noted that the campaign reflects the human values, and a commitment to boost all forms of cooperation and assistance to the needy, particularly blood donation. This humanitarian gesture is crucial in saving the lives of people injured in traffic accidents and hospital patients.â€
He praised the high turnout from officers and staff members of the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate, in a gesture that promotes humanitarian and volunteer work. Major Al Fil also indicated that the campaign reflects a full-fledged support to the competent official authorities in discharging their duties in various areas, and submitting further initiatives to raise awareness and spread health and traffic education.
