With over a hundred nationalities, diverse social groups, diverse income groups, the UAE poses deep segmentation challenges as far as communication is concerned. Etisalat can play a huge role in enabling the growth of the public sector by forming strategic partnerships and by sharing its experience.
“We enable communication by providing state-of-the-art infrastructure and a nationwide broadband network. Telecoms is a robust industry and is historically very technology driven but we are striving to become more customer focused. Providing a high quality of delivery across everything we do is of paramount importance to retain our leadership position in the country,†he added.
In addition, Zawaydeh emphasised the importance of having a clear communication strategy that is aligned with the organisation’s overall corporate strategy, which should be customer focused and would drive the organisation to transform the way they do business. He shared various insights on how the telecom sector moved from being complacent into a more competitive setup where a communication strategy that covers internal and external audience, became a necessity to better serve customers and to enhance their experience.
Themed ’Different Roles...Mutual Interest’, the forum explored the role that government communications can play in improving a country’s image and reputation.
