Lebanese Minister of Interior Reviews the UAEs E-Passport Experience
H.E NouhadMachnouk, Minister of Interior and Municipalities in Lebanon and the accompanying delegation, reviewed the UAE’s experience in issuing E-passports. H.E NouhadMachnouk was also acquainted with the UAE Ministry of Interior strategy and the organizational administrative structure of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs sector and General Directorates at the countrywide level; their missions, duties, services and distinguished facilities they provide to the public.
The Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities and the accompanying delegation who are currently on a visit to the UAE, visited the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs on Monday. They were greeted by Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, along with the Directors-General at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs sector.
During the meeting, both sides discussed means of cooperation and coordination, exchanging experiences and expertise, as well as the adopted systems in the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs work. Other issues of mutual interest for both countries were also discussed during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Imad Othman, Head of the Information Branch at the Internal Security Forces, and H.E. Mr. Hassan Saad, Lebanon’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
H.E the Lebanese Minister of Interior and the accompanying delegation ware briefed about the UAE Ministry of Interior’s Strategy and the organizational administrative structure of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs sector and General Directorates at the countrywide level; their missions, duties, services and distinguished facilities they provide to the public.
H.E the Lebanese Minister of Interior also reviewed the work procedures adopted for issuing E-passports and examined the modern and advanced devices and equipment used for printing and issuing E-passports. Towards the end of the visit, both sides exchanged commemorative gifts.
