ADCB Opens First International Representative Office In London (26 May 2014)
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) is pleased to announce the opening of its first international representative office in London. The office, inaugurated in presence of Ala’a Eraiqat, CEO of ADCB, Colin Fraser, Head of Wholesale Banking, Kevin Taylor, Head of Treasury and Nicholas Whitfield, Senior Consultant- ADCB ‎ UK Banking Representative Office, will enable ADCB to better serve its growing client roster at a global scale whilst taking advantage of growing financial links between the UAE and UK.
ADCB will use the office to advise UAE customers on the international markets as well as enhance its UK business opportunities. Beginning on 21st May, the London representative office will open its doors for business at 30 St Mary's Axe in London’s main financial district.
Colin Fraser, Executive Vice President and Head of Wholesale Banking at ADCB, explains why London is the right move, “ADCB's clients are increasingly operating in international markets. We find that both large and small scale clients are now, more than ever, present in markets outside of the UAE. London is one of the largest financial centres in the world and the opening of our representative office in the city is in line with our client-centric growth strategy as we look to build a more global presenceâ€.
Considering the UAE's increasing international influence, ADCB plans to open additional representative offices in other strategic key markets over the coming years, allowing the bank to capitalize on global economic trade and investment flows from enterprises looking to the UAE market for opportunities.
