Final Al Majlis At Sharjah Museum Of Islamic Civilization To Address Cultural Diversity Within The Muslim World
Inspired by the unique exhibition from the Vatican City on display at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization (SMIC), SMIC will host its final session of the Emirati-style Al Majlis on 7th June – a forum which aims to promote interfaith and intercultural dialogue between people from different backgrounds.
Attending the discussion as a guest of honour consultant Mohammed Hassan Al Marzouqi, member of the Higher Advisory Board at the Arabic International Academy for Training and Human Resources Development, and the first Emirati expert in Etiquette and Protocol, will lead the discussion with the audience.
As with previous Al Majlis events, participants will be taken on an in-depth tour of the exhibition to gain insight into Muslim communities.. This event, like the earlier ones in the series which saw participants attend from countries as far afield as Uzbekistan, India, Pakistan, the Emirates, the UK and Germany, will result in a high-level exchange of ideas and perspectives across many cultures.
‘So that you might know each other - the World of Islam from North Africa to China and Beyond’ will run at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation until 14 June and marks Sharjah Museums Department’s celebration of Sharjah’s selection as the Capital of Islamic Culture 2014.
