Sharjah Media Corporation Gears Up To Launch Line-Up Of Programmes For Ramadan
Sharjah Media Corporation is gearing up to launch a line-up of programmes and drama series for the Holy Month of Ramadan 2014 on its various channels. The new array will include programmes that target literary, cultural, intellectual, art and social interests, in addition to business and financial, tourism and media sectors. The programmes will be aired in live and recorded formats throughout the usual morning and evening broadcast time.
The new line-up is part of the Corporation's approach to focus on families and children and support the audience in their endeavours to gain greater insights into the meaning of the Holy Month. The programmes will highlight and celebrate Arabic and Islamic values in the country and the Emirate and will underline these values to boost Sharjah's position as Islamic Culture Capital 2014. The programmes will focus on art, entertainment, and local folklore in Ramadan.
Speaking on the occasion, Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Director General of Sharjah Media Corporation, said: "SMC is eager that Ramadan will be special for the public who view the programmes broadcast on its channels. The corporation recently prepared a range of programmes specifically designed to be in line with its efforts to support community culture and awareness, while offering meaningful and entertaining content. We believe the programmes for this Ramadan will be competitive and unique and will continue SMC's successful efforts in supporting Sharjah position as Islamic Culture Capital and a safe haven for families and children."
Sharjah Media Corporation will announce details of its new line-up of programmes for the Holy Month of Ramadan during a press conference that will be held at Al Qasba in Sharjah at 11:00 am, Monday June 9, in presence of representatives of its various channels: Sharjah TV, Al Sharqiya Channel from Kalba, and Sharjah Radio.
