DEWA Receives Delegation From RAK Customs Department
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received at its headquarters a delegation from the Ras Al Khaimah Customs Department. This is one of a series of meetings DEWA conducts to foment collaboration and share international best practices with the public and private sectors in the UAE.
DEWA’s Dr. Abdel-Elah El-Smadi, Planning Expert, Abdulla Al Hammadi, Vice President of Strategy and Performance Management, and Taha Al Hamri, Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist, received the delegation.
DEWA and RAK Customs shared experiences and best practices in the field of organisational excellence, benchmarking, strategic planning, human resources, community initiatives and continuous improvement. The two sides discussed ways to collaborate to improve operational efficiencies for the benefit of society.
DEWA officials briefed the visiting delegation on its organisational structure, strategic plans and community initiatives. DEWA also provided detailed insights on its awareness programmes for saving electricity and water to encourage environmental sustainability and conserve resources to drive the sustainable development of Dubai.
Al Hamri made a presentation about DEWA’s key initiatives to help society, adding that DEWA adopts integrated programmes to promote good habits and social cohesion amongst DEWA’s employees, clients, partners, and society as a whole.
The RAK Customs Department delegation provided details of its strategic plans and services for stakeholders, and its focus on promoting creativity, innovation, organisational excellence and customer service. The delegation thanked DEWA staff for the warm welcome and for sharing insights into promoting organisational excellence.
