Primary school students ages 9 to 10 from the Abu Dhabi Indian School, Al Mushrif Primary School, British School Al Khubairat, International School of Choueifat and Sheikh Zayed Private Academy participated in the contest.

The three esteemed judges included active members of Abu Dhabi’s thriving arts community, Salwa Zeidan, Artist and Founder of the Salwa Zeidan Gallery; Fatma Al Mazrouie, Artist and Ayyub Russell Hamilton, Artist and Professor Associate Professor at the College of Arts and Creative Enterprises, Zayed University. They had the difficult task of reviewing the submissions and choosing the final winners.

The grand prize winner received AED 2,000 in shopping vouchers to Sun & Sand Sports, a mini iPad and a ticket for him and his entire class to Yas Waterworld. The second place winner and third place winner each respectively received AED 1,000 and AED 500 shopping vouchers to Sun & Sand Sports. All of the winners were presented with their prizes along with a certificate of achievement by Sheikh Hazza Bin Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan during a prize ceremony.

Mr. Abdul Aziz Husain Ahmed, CEO of Al Ain Properties, comments: “We would like to thank all of the participating young artists for their exceptional work and creativity. All of the submissions were most impressive and our team was delighted to see the amount of effort and detail each student demonstrated. We look forward to continuing to work with community members of all ages as Mushrif Central Park progresses and opens in early 2015.”
