ATDD Reviewes Tourism Sector Promotion Plan For The Year 2015
Ajman Tourism and Development Department, ATDD, Marketing and Promotion Section has reviewed the tourism sector promotion plan for the year 2015 during a meeting with tourism establishments' managers.
The meeting, held at Ajman Museum's Sheikh Humaid Hall, covered the results of Ajman tourism sector's participation in a number of international events abroad, in accordance with the data provided by the tourism establishments themselves and ATDD's sector statistics in the first half of 2014, according to ATDD's Director of Tourism Development and Marketing, Khulood Khaled Al Nuaimi.
"A number of internal promotion projects planned for 2015, and other ATDD-sponsored presence in a number of countries targeted for outbound tourism were also high on the agenda of the meeting," she said.
"Participation in a number of international exhibitions during 2015 with the aim of stabilising Ajman's presence on the international tourism map was among the issues discussed during the meeting," clarified Hind Al Marzooqi, Head of ATDD Marketing and Promotion Section.
Al Marzooqi lauded the initiatives and ideas raised by the tourism sector representatives to enhance internal and international promotion efforts for Ajman as a distinguished tourism destination in the U.A.E..
Michele Frignani, General Manager of the Ajman Saray Hotel, lauded the proposed plan, but said "we need to emerge in new markets during 2015".
Alexander Suski, General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Ajman, said, "Ajman needs to show high, whether in exhibitions or in road-shows abroad to spread awareness about the emirate as a distinguished destination with unique attractions." Iftikhar Hamdani, General Manager of Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman, suggested that Ajman would focus on Eastern Europe and CIS markets during 2015 and to approach them with new marketing tactics.
The gathering came as part of a series of specialised meetings held by a number of ATDD sections with the aim of strengthening constructive communication with partners in the tourism sector in Ajman.
