Clean Middle East Pulire Expo Set To Address The AED 80 Billion Dirham Industry

The Clean Middle East Pulire Expo is set to open this Tuesday. The expo, into its second edition, will be addressing the AED 80 billion dirham industry, which is the region’s premier international trade expo on cleaning and hygiene. The Middle East cleaning and hygiene industry is set to grow a staggering 275% by the year 2020. According to the Middle East Facilities Management Association, the industry will rise from AED 80 billion to AED 300 billion. CMEP Expo is set to be held from October 21st to 23rd, 2014 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center.

“CMEP has been conceptualised to bring the growing cleaning industry together under one platform. The expo aims to create awareness about scientific cleaning practices and provides a unified forum to showcase products, technologies and services amongst professionals and potential buyers in the Middle East region,” said Mr Jayaraman Nair, Chairman, VIS.

The need for expansion of the cleaning and hygiene industry could never be stronger, with UAE’s ever-growing population leading to several new residential and commercial projects. This means an added responsibility on the facilities management and cleaning industry to maintain them. The growth of this vertical also resonates with the country’s strong desire to attain international standards of cleanliness and sterility.

“Dubai is strategizing to be one of the world’s most sustainable cities by 2020. The integrated strategic master plan for a sustainable waste management system in Dubai is the department’s most ambitious project, which is now fully approved and all set for implementation. The plan provides a structure for waste management in Dubai until 2030 and will be based on certain key performance indicators (KPIs), which enhance the concept of waste as a resource as they divert waste from landfills to recycling and energy recovery,” divulged Abdulmajeed Saifaie, director of waste management department, Dubai Municipality.

The International Cleaning & Hygiene Conference (ICHC) will be happening at the CMEP premises that will provide as a platform for industry thought leaders to discuss pressing issues. ICHC will host several panel discussions and key-note addresses from revered speakers from all over the globe.

A footfall of over 4,000 attendees is expected over the 3 day event, and visitors to the exhibition can also attend the dedicated International Cleaning and Hygiene Conferences (ICHC). A large number of attendees have pre-registered for the event. Whereas the ICHC will stage several high profile speakers from all over the world, representing reputed brand names such as Emrill FM, Jancoa Janitorial Services USA, Ecolab USA and the likes.
