Central Bank Directs Banks To Contribute To UAE Compassion
The Central Bank of the UAE issued directives to all banks operating in the UAE to participate and contribute to the UAE Compassion campaign (Tarahamu)) by placing the campaign’s logo on all ATMs The move is in response to the call by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, upon all ministries, government institutions and departments, and the private sector in the UAE to react to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, by launching an urgent humanitarian campaign (UAE Compassion) for the relief efforts to protect refugees from the bitter cold Levant winter,.
The Central Bank also called on its employees at its Head Office and branches, to participate and contribute to the campaign in cash or kind, and provided containers for receiving donations, which would later be pooled and forwarded to the UAE Red Crescent.
The Central Bank wishes to confirm its belief that the humanitarian initiatives launched by our leadership further solidifies the humanitarian principles of supporting and helping the needy, and demonstrates the compassion and solidarity of UAE citizens and residents with their brothers in the Levant.
