Dubai Residents Collect Half A Million Dirhams In Donations For Nepal
A new social media campaign has successfully collected AED 500,000 worth of donations to help rebuild homes in Nepal.
The initiative saw more than 85,000 Dubai residents share pictures and stories under the hash tag ‘myDMCC’.
The DMCC Free Zone donated AED50 for each of the posts to Emirates Red Crescent.
The money will be used to rebuild a community of 50 houses affected by the earthquake and to provide medical supplies to Nepalese hospitals.
