• Dubai International Financial Centre Rolls Out Traditional Emirati Red Carpet At Its Ramadan Majlis In Partnership With The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC Recreates Unique Ramadan Experiences

Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has rolled out the red carpet for this holy month of Ramadan with its annual majlis offering a wide selection of Middle Eastern cuisine, entertainment and warmth.

From 18 June to 16 July, the Ramadan Majlis brings the traditions and values of the holy month to DIFC’s international community of 1,225 leading companies and 17,860 members who work and live at DIFC.

Hosted in association with Audi Middle East, The Ritz-Carlton, and World Ventures, the ‘DIFC Ramadan Majlis’ provides a lively yet relaxed ambience within a contemporary Arabian setting, whilst a team of talented chefs of The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC serve classic Arabian fare, alongside some Middle Eastern favorites with an innovative twist.

To create a truly memorable ambience for guests, the interiors of the DIFC Ramadan Majlis are embellished with themed contemporary décor designed by the renowned Lebanese muralist and interior designer, Pierre Abboud who is commissioned by The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC. The majlis walls is lined with two 12-meter-long murals depicting Dubai’s coastline, featuring iconic landmarks such as Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa and the DIFC Gate. In addition, striking midnight blue murals, lush red and gold fabrics and drapes adorn the majlis.

In keeping with Dubai’s culture of promoting art and the distinguished Art Nights by DIFC, the Ramadan Majlis also showcases the luxury hotel’s affinity with Dubai’s art scene.

Highlights during Iftar include traditional Arabic delicacies combined with culinary fusion such as sweet potato muttable, as well as the famous Arabic sushi.

Visitors to DIFC can also revel in a truly authentic celebration during Sohour in The Sunken Garden. An à la carte menu offers a range of Middle Eastern delicacies and traditional beverages. Surrounded by a serene landscape of palm trees and a dramatic water fountain, the Sunken Garden remains cool throughout the summer due to its low-level positioning and air conditioning, providing a unique al fresco setting for guests this Ramadan.

Now in its third year, DIFC through its Ramadan Majlis is dedicated to providing the finest Arabic hospitality and authentic Middle Eastern culture to its clients and the community. The Ramadan Majils is part of the DIFC annual calendar of events that aims to enhance the overall community experience.
