Eid Al Adha holiday for UAE private, public sectors announced
Dubai: The Eid Al Adha holiday for the private sector in UAE will be from Monday, August 20, to Wednesday, August 22, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced on Tuesday.
The public sector will have a one-week holiday for Eid Al Adha from Sunday, August 19, to Thursday, August 23. Work will resume on Sunday, August 26.
The holiday was declared in line with the directives of the UAE Cabinet, according to official news agency WAM.
It also includes Arafat day, which occurs the day before the start of Eid Al Adha.
The Saudi Supreme Court declared on Saturday that Eid Al Adha will fall on Tuesday, August 21.

The Cabinet takes the occasion to extend congratulation to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The Council of Ministers also congratulated His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Their Highnesses the Ruler of the Emirates, the UAE people and the Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion.
