30 percent discount on traffic fines in Ras Al Khaimah from Sunday
Motorists in Ras Al Khaimah with outstanding traffic fines will be offered a 30 per cent discount during the month of October, announced police on Wednesday.
Major General Ali Abdullah Bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, confirmed that the reduction will be applicable to motorists with radar fines issued at least 81 days ago.
The 30 per cent discount also included fines on impounded vehicles.
The slash on traffic fines will run from Sunday October 7 to Thursday November 1, 2018.
Maj Gen Al Nuaimi called on motorists to take advantage of the discount period to clear their accumulated traffic fines, which may have led to the confiscation of their vehicles.
He pointed out that Ras Al Khaimah Police continues to strive in improving the quality of life in the emirate, in order to achieve stability and support within the community.
As part of the emirate’s campaign in raising the quality of life, police have also offered owners of electrical cars the opportunity to register and renew their vehicle license free of charge from October 1, 2018 until December 31, 2020.
