Abu Dhabi Crown Prince honours members of Armed Forces
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has honoured a number of Armed Forces officers in recognition of their heroism and bravery in serving their country.
Shaikh Mohammad conferred on the service officers the Order of Military Glory of the First Class and the Order of Bravery during a special ceremony at the Abu Dhabi Sea Palace.
During his reception of the officers - who were headed by Lt General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces - Shaikh Mohammad expressed his pride for their em-bodiment of the highest values of loyalty, belonging and courage, and for the heroic stances they demonstrated while serving both inside and outside the country.
Addressing the officers, Shaikh Mohamed said: "We are happy at the level of readiness and steadfast-ness that you demonstrate and your ability to carry out the tasks entrusted to you with competence and professionalism."
Speaking of the fallen servicemen who have lost their lives in the battlefield, Shaikh Mohamed said: "The martyrs of the homeland and their brilliant legacies will be immortalised for eternity by future generations who will tell stories of their heroic, glorious and honourable accomplishments."
The ceremony was attended by Shaikh Abdullah Bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Deputy Ruler of Umm Al Qai-wain, Shaikh Nahyan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Lt General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and Shaikh Khalid Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs.
